Seating plan

See you next Saturday! We will add any updated info here before the party:
-
If you are still unsure about how you are getting to Mäntyharju, please contact us or a friend with a car. There are still public transport tickets, but they get more expensive as we get closer to the dates.
-
For baby-guests: There is a microwave at the dance hall to heat up food if needed. Unfortunately, we only have one high chair for babies.
-
There will be plenty of food and a moderate amount of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages served. If you need to bring some snacks or drinks for yourself, feel free to do so, but there is limited fridge space available.
-
Sauna-info: On Saturday from 12-15.00 we are heating up the sauna. There will be a bigger mixed sauna, so bring your towel and bathing suit. If you prefer a non-mixed sauna, there is a smaller sauna that can be used more privately
-
Remember to check at the very end of the page what you should pack with you depending upon where you are sleeping.
What is this celebration of love? 💕
On Midsummer 2024 we have been dating for 10 years and with this anniversary we want to celebrate time spent together with people we care for. The event partly resembles a wedding, but for now we are not getting married. This will be a less formal affair. In short = Because we felt there was reason to celebrate, we decided to throw this party for all of us!
psssst! For those who have not celebrated Midsummer before: Midsummer "Juhannus" is celebrated during summer solstice. The sun barely sets, creating the feeling of an endless day. Some Juhannus traditions might include bonfires, midsummer dances as well as spending time outdoors and with close ones.

What is the program like?
Where is the party happening?
The celebration will be held in two locations in Mäntyharju, Southern Savonia, Finland.
First, we will gather at Jenna's parents Ari and Leila's place at Linkkumylly:
Mouhuntie 647, 52700 Mäntyharju.
Later, we will move to Voikoski dance pavilion:
Lavakuja 31, 52920 Voikoski.
We will dine and continue the celebration at the dance pavilion. There is a large parking lot in front of the pavilion.
The distance between Linkkumylly and Voikoski Stage is approximately 8.5 kilometers via gravel and asphalt roads.
To get to Mäntyharju, you can use public transportation: take a train to Mäntyharju's center or an Onnibus to Vihantasalmi. Separate transportation is needed to the event location, Linkkumylly. If you're not coming by car and know others who are coming, ask if there is space in their car as it's easiest to arrive by car. If you're coming by public transportation, let us know so we can suggest departure times to coordinate rides to Linkkumylly for as many people as possible.
Many party guests will be arriving by their own car, so we hope that guests without transportation can ride from Linkkumylly to Voikoski Stage in cars with available space.
We have a few minivans available, which will provide rides from Voikoski Stage back to Linkkumylly for accommodation during the night.
We are unable to provide rides to Mäntyharju town center during the evening, but taxis can be ordered in the area if needed.
How does transport happen between locations?
What to wear?
There's no specific dress code for the party, so come in an outfit in which you'll feel comfortable in celebrating.
We (Jenna & Felix) will be wearing festive clothing but it's got to remember that the party venues are located in rural, forested landscapes, and the terrain is partially uneven. Therefore, it's advisable to wear comfortable shoes that are easy to walk in, even on slightly uneven ground.
Also, bring along something warm and long-sleeved. Part of the celebration will take place outdoors, and part will be on a covered dance pavillion. However, the weather can be unpredictable, and there may be mosquitoes in the forest.
Of course you can, we would love that! If you want to give a speech or if you have any other surprise program in mind, please contact Felix's brother Daniel dani.lybeck@gmail.com/0407677959
Speeches and other programs take place at Voikoski Pavillion. There is sound equipment available.
Can I give a speech or performance?
What about gifts?
Since we both enjoy collecting various items and have hobbies that take up space, we may not necessarily want physical gifts, as our home is already quite filled with belongings. If you wish to commemorate us for the celebration, you can make a contribution to our travel fund (we would like to travel to Japan together eventually).

However, please really don't feel obligated to remember us with a monetary or other gift! The most important thing for us is that you come to celebrate with us and enjoy Midsummer.
More info about accommodation:
For those staying in cottages at Linkkumylly:
-
Some cottages have their own toilets, shower facilities, and running water. However, some cottages do not have these amenities. There are several outdoor toilets on the premises, as well as shared toilets and shower facilities. There is also a well on the premises, and drinking water is provided for cottages without running water.
-
Please bring your own sheets (fitted sheet, top sheet, and pillowcases) or a sleeping bag, as well as a towel. If you are travelling from abroad to the party and have small luggage, don't worry about this!
-
There is a road passing through Linkkumylly, where cars sometimes drive fast. The plot also borders the lake. So let's keep an eye on each other, children, and dogs <3
-
We have done our best to plan sleeping arrangements suitable for everyone staying at Linkkumylly. If you have any questions about your sleeping arrangements, please contact Jenna at 0407004676.
For those camping in tents or hammocks:
-
You can camp with your own equipment in the forest of Jenna's parents place at Linkkumylly.
-
There are several outdoor toilets on the premises, as well as shared toilet and shower facilities. There is also a lean-to (laavu) and a well + faucets for drinking water.
Tips for those staying at Villa Aurora:
-
Villa Aurora is located in the center of Mäntyharju, about a 15-minute drive and 13 kilometers from Linkkumylly.
-
With Villa Aurora, it has been agreed that party guests can check in separately already at 1:00 PM instead of between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
-
Aurora is right next to Art center Salmela. The art center is also open during Midsummer. You can also take a walk in the art center's surroundings outside of museum opening hours (we recommend it!).
-
There is also an accessible nature trail "Immo" (900m) near Aurora, which ends at a nature chapel.
